Mary passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love, on Saturday, 29th August 2026, aged 84 years.

A beloved wife of the late William Sibbald, a much-loved mum to Sylvia and James, and a dear mother-in-law to Jim. A devoted gran to Alannah and her partner Craig, and Abbie and her partner Jamie, and a proud and loving great-gran to Matthew and Orlagh.

Also a beloved sister, cousin and auntie, a treasured friend to many, and a very special friend to Jean McMillan and her family.

Mary was deeply loved by those closest to her and held such a special place in the hearts of her family and friends. She was someone whose presence brought comfort and familiarity, and the love she gave throughout her life will remain with her family always.

Over the years, Mary created so many precious memories with the people she loved. It is those memories, the conversations shared, the laughter, the little everyday moments, and simply having her there that will now mean more than ever.

Her passing leaves a huge space in the lives of those who knew and loved her, and she will be missed more than words can say. Although saying goodbye is incredibly difficult, Mary’s family will carry her with them always through the love she gave, the memories she made, and the many happy times they were fortunate enough to share.
