Kate passed away peacefully at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family, on Saturday, 17th October 2026, aged 61 years.

A beloved wife to David, a loving and devoted mum to Sarah and Laura, a cherished sister, auntie and niece, and a wonderful friend to so many.

Kate was truly one of a kind. A unique character with a fun-loving, light-hearted nature and a personality that could brighten even the dullest of days.

In her later years, Kate became a much-loved member of the team at Cineworld in Falkirk, where everyone affectionately knew her as “Mama Kate.” More than just a colleague, she became a special part of their working family, loved and respected by all. The affection everyone had for her was a true reflection of the wonderful person she was.

Kate was extremely well thought of by so many people, and her passing will leave an enormous emptiness in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Although there will be great sadness in the days ahead, her family and friends will have countless happy memories, funny stories and special moments to look back on with love and a smile.
