Jean passed away surrounded by the love of her family at Airthrey Care Home on Friday, 25th September 2026, aged 91 years.

Beloved wife of the late Sam, a much-loved mum to William, John, Andrew, and Edith, and a cherished mother-in-law. A devoted gran to Debbie, John, Graeme, Gordon, Sarah, Hayley, Andrew, Kyle, Ava, and a proud and loving great-gran, sister, Auntie, and a wonderful friend to many.

Jean’s family was her whole world, and there was nothing she loved more than simply being with the people closest to her. She was a quiet, gentle lady with such a kind and caring nature, always happy to help anyone she could and never looking for anything in return. Jean never needed any fuss and was at her happiest when she was surrounded by her family, sharing the simple moments that meant the most to her.

Those closest to Jean will remember her for her gentleness, her kindness, and the quiet love she gave so freely throughout her life. She leaves behind many precious memories that will continue to be treasured by everyone fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
